Well they think not yet, BBM - just bloody cold; but from mid December onwards he's predicting a mild winter. Hmmm.

Yes, I read that a few minutes ago, too. Four inches of snow expected in northern Britain - I don't know where the line is drawn, but I suppose that we'll get some in the Great Glen. Drat!

Eeek! I hadn't see that .... surely it would only North Wales (Snowdonia) though, not here? I finally waved the Lionel & Duncan (windows) off at lunchtime but Ron the builder hopefully was getting on my roof early next week to sort the flue removal and tiling.
Very chilly here today, though bright, only got to 8.4 and temp dropping rapidly now, just a few clouds

(For those interested in the new bull calf, it seems he is to be Iestyn but you have 28 days to register the birth and farmers being highly superstitious leave it to the very last mo in case it ups and dies but after the trauma and having to be resusitated and Mum too weak to feed him (they keep colostrum in the freezer so got a good few litres down him) he's skipping around now and feeding well) He's pure bred Charolais, really good pedigree, excellent sire.

Possibly not quite. The OTs want to make quite sure that proper arrangements are made to ensure that her return is problem-free.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
