Oh, Cali - you are such a tease!! But now you look like Jack Nicholson in his dotage playing a serial killer! Here's Johnny as an OAP! <shriek> Change it back to grumpy Alan Whicker!
The many faces of Cali!! :)

Utter devastation in the eastern Philippines. I hope Pabs is ok - as he says, he's in the west. Presumably infrastructure will be affected there, so maybe no power, signal etc.
A relative of mine is in Vietnam, and I am crossing my fingers.
It's been a brilliantly sunny day here from first light, but the temp is now dropping rapidly (8.9° down from nearly 14° in just a couple of hours) I have to admit I've clicked the heating on again - I really must read the meter to see what this luxury of instant heat on demand is costing me!
I'm afraid I missed the tv Remembrance parade, apart from the last half hour, but good that it was such a bright day for those marching and I admit London did look very good bathed in sunlight.

Not very warm in London, Anna - topped out at 7.5 C here at lunchtime. I would have gone for a decent cycle ride this afternoon except the ex- kept me on the phone, and by 3.30 the sun's already low in the sky at thit time of year, and I can remember driving and being blind to cyclists.
Quite concerned about Pabmusic; the strength of that typhoon was noteworthy in maintaining itself right across the Phillippines.

From what I could gather from reporrts today, Capiz - or is he nearer Roxas City? cannot recall, same region - has had major infrastructure damage, airport wrecked, no power, etc., but very few casualties (which is a blessing) On the BBC it said if the typhoon was placed on a map of Europe it would stretch from London to Berlin. As he logged in after it made landfall where he is we can only assume (hope) he's ok
Edit: I was wrong of course, its a Sun Dog, not a sky Dog.
Both part of the Murdoch empire.
Never heard of either term, so thanks, ts
Lovely sunny day in the Pennines yesterday - frost first thing, but when the sun did its stuff, it got quite warm: there was a bee flying among the remaining flowers! (I can't remember ever seeing one out as late as this before - well past their bedtime, I'd've thought.)
Grey and gloomy this morning. So's the weather - but the odd burst of sunlight to cheer things up, and moderately warm, too.
