Yup - and fireworks/bonfire event tonight should be dry and breezy I think (though a bit of a quagmire underfoot potentially)

It was pouring at 7.30am when I walked to the Surgery for a fasting blood test I have never felt so cold and HUNGRY.

Tea was what I missed most but must catch up with some lunch.

Computer off or playing up too, what's new?

Hounds cslled off Bbm. Be happy there

Yes, why indeed do they insist on no solids for 10 hours before such tests? I had one back in September - had to cycle 3 miles to the local hospital and back. At least there was less weight than usual on the bike!

Car thermometer flashing all the way to Inverness this morning - suggesting that the temp was below freezing for the whole sixteen miles. It's still cold out there, but quite pleasant as well. Incidentally, does anyone else have their car thermometer set Fahrenheit in the Summer, but Celsius in the Winter? I've just changed mine.

Should give all these fallen leaves everywhere a chance to dry out ready for more easy clearance.

                    sounds like a great system.
After all we mix F and C anyway. Plenty of us use C for minus, and F for hot weather..

I wonder if cars sold in Ireland measure distance in Km, Miles or Irish miles. Their signposts use a variety of all three !!

shouldn't really be a big challenge for the 21st century council....but then.....nor should so much else.

Well on the way to work, this morning, the heavens opened and the car's wipers decided to rebel against me!! Pah! The driver's side was the awkward one, so luckily the passenger's side wasn't too bad!!

I've been offline for a bit, windows and doors out, draughts and rain blowing in, tomorrow it's the big windows, weather permitting. Been so preoccupied, no idea what the temps have been, but chilly. Thank goodness the new heating is working. Actually, been so exhausted I've been in bed before I've known it - sometimes by 10pm, without even R3 in the background Morpheus has grabbed me in his arms
