Well,Shearer update: We went to the vets, yesterday. the vet prescribed a different anteb, a better one, she said as obviously this one didn't do the job. Plus another tablet. So hopefully he be turning a corner!

Good to hear Shearer is on the mend.

A gloriously sunny day here. Went out for a lunchtime stroll out of the office and not a cloud in the sky. Not a breath of wind either and where I work it's usually windy when it isn't anywhere else.

Dull, overcast, but not particularly cold.

A light mist over this part of the Pennines (between Bradford and Skipton) - but refreshing air and quite warm. Most pleasant.

It seems to have been quite quiet here recently - a bit like the weather. It's been dry and overcast here all week, neither warm nor cold. We had a slight shower yesterday evening.

Off topic, I had to buy an iron today, as I carelessly dropped the old one and it was leaking all over the ironing. In the instructions for the new iron I found this, which never occurred to me before, so I'm hurrying to pass it on to you all.

Don't iron clothing while it's being worn - you'll injure the wearer.

                  Suddenly, everything becomes clear.

There should be a thread on such advice.

On my sleeping tablets - "May Cause Drowsyness"

Also on a ready meal, "Remove from box before placing in Microwave "

The mind, as they say, boggles

OT Very nice day here but have toomuch back-pain to enjoy it.

Nice day here so far - what cloud there is is high and the sun is making its presence felt, lots of buzzing insects, my clematis on its second blooming, the air quite still.

Just looked at next week's long-range forecast - still quite mild but likely to be wetter. Ah well.

Horrible morning, mist so thick couldn't see the trees in the field, cleared around 11am to a beautiful summers day, jackets came off and short-sleeves were strolling. Peaked at 23.6°, pretty good for late September.
Anyway, mangerton's got a new iron, S_A's got a new bike that goes like a rocket, Shearer the cat is on new anti-biotics, saly is to get a new telly ... what is there to complain about?
