This morning, putting the big bins out before the storm arrives. Neighbour who did it for me is unwell himself.

Certainly quite a busy weekend! We saw three properties yesterday, and I had a band concert in the afternoon! The good news is, that we have found somewhere to live! It's at a place called Southdowns Park, in Haywards Heath. Yes, back to the place hwre I was brought up! Seems to have a magnetic pull! This building is the former psychiatric hospital, called St Francis Hospital. And, guess what? Around this building, are names of the various sections, some of whom were the medical superintendents that have worked there, Including my father, no less, who was the last one. And it's this part of the building, called Wheeler Court(named after him), is where wee are going to move to! I think it's uncanny and hmmm...surreal, even.

This is excellent news, BBM. As one of my dearest friends keeps on saying:' Everything happens for a reason'.

On topic, very windy and looking ominously like rain as well. Trusty Berghaus has already had dust shaken off! Doesn't seem five minutes since last worn.

OT - It's been a shocking morning here with torrential rain and high winds. Perishing cold to boot, and my T.B. got its first outing since a very cold day during my holiday in June.

The cold and wind remain, but the rain has passed, and as I write it is a bright sunny afternoon.

Very blustery day today in the Pennines, and it's been bucketting it down since Noon.

After a glorious start to the day, it has started to absolutely chuck it down in Chichester, and it now looks well set in for the day. Also extremely blustery. A real shame for the Goodwood Revival meeting which is happening just up the road.

The rain has set in here also, the mist/low cloud descended, the hills disappeared, the lights are on. My new central heating system is on for the first time - seems to work ok, bit disconcerting having a boiler that doesn't sound like a 747 taking off with subsequent loud clanks and gurgles and merely emits a low hum ....
