The man who gave us "Are you my Mummy?" and "Don't Blink" should be scaring the living bedaylights out of us.

Heavy drizzle all morning in the Pennines - my post is drying on the doormat before I pick it up. A noticeable dip in temperature, too: definitely a touch parky.

(Horrible carpet outside the Debussy room, methought.)

I don't watch Dr.Who but I agree about the carpet ferney. Sort of spilt plums and custard colour.

Ah well, lucky Cali to stay here.

Totally agree ferney, I stopped watching the last series - the phrase "Are you my Mummy" still gives me goosebumps!! I also hope for some darkness from Capaldi and a return to the frightening scripts, none of this flirty sentimental nonsense, since when did The Doctor kiss girls?!

Was drizzle first thing this morning, now interpersed with very heavy downpours, not cold though at 19° and we are promised dry with sunny bits tomorrow then unsettled again.

Ah, then that'll be the cold front going through It's expected to have weakened by the time it reaches here this evening... we'll see... Bit of a breeze making it seem less than the 23 C it says on the therm. Thick cirrus above altostratus above stratocumulus - not much chance of any sunshine penetrating that lot.

Poor Darren Betts trying to give accurate forecasts to Aggers on TMS - he's baffled I reckon. Rain not as widespread nor as heavy as he had thought, and more likely towards end of the day. Light, however, might become an issue as the cloud base lowers.

That's cats for you, Bbm - any self-respecting dog would be up & down those stairs with trays of tea & toast for her, but not a moggy

After a day of showers of varying strength, we now have a grey-blue sky rapidly emptying of clouds as they scud eastwards. A very pleasant temperature, cool and wet enough to encourage the army of snails to come out & eat the bird seed discarded by the sparrers,

Non-stop mini-niagara p.m.. Clearing to wet-aired, dying sun in pearly, perfumed night.

Thanks everyone. MrsBBM is at home now and slowly, I am hoping, gaining a full recovery! Not helped by the dull overcast weather we are experiencing!
