I too shall be partaking of salad and new potatoes in due course. My salad leaves, however, are sadly bereft of life. This will be followed by strawberries from Perthshire. I hope they have travelled well across the county line.

I see my supermarket of choice advertises "Fresh and Naked Living Leaves", but they are currently "unavailable". Probably too much for Scottish strict Presbyterian Sensibilities.

Yes, just been doing that. The two Micks and Charlie done good, but I wasn't totally convinced by Keith and Ronnie Wood. They had some excellent backing musicians, which of course always helps.

Yes, I watched as well and got in trouble on the other thread for saying they were a bit boring! But, once they warmed up, they were ok. Not up to speed as to who's playing this year, will check out tomorrow's schedule. But, now to bed I think.

Lots of sneezing here in London too, BBM, and so glad to hear the news about your moggy.

Beautiful weather - 22 C at noon the highest midday temperature so far this year; a bit breezy for any outing on the bike - and in any case one is rather knackered today after a sleepless night, owing to an outrageously loud garden party just down the road: the same thumping tune played over and over again, fireworks let off at 3 am. God knows how their immediate neighbours coped - maybe they were invited. Once is too much. Any repeat of this, I have a phone number and I'm onto the council's noise abatement straight away.

Bad news too about your neighbours thoughtlessness S_A, although I suppose you could have phoned the Police and got them to break it up.
Hovering just below 21° here but, after a very still night, we again have a strong WSW wind at between 13-16mph with stronger gusts, which is really quite unpleasant. My beans are not enjoying it, I've just had to put more ties on them.

Does anyone else indulge in my guilty pleasure (only in the privacy of your own home of course) and add old fashioned salad cream?

A pleasant but rather windy day here. Not really up to what we should expect in late June but at least it's better than this time in the previous couple or three years. There's been no sustained heatwave as yet and a week or two of solid sunshine with temps over 25 degrees would be most welcome.

Hope BBM hasn't been landed with a huge bill from the vets!
