I've just come back from an early evening talk at the Methodist Church hall about American cuisine State-by-State, accompanied by tasters of such things as Shoo-Fly Pie, Crumb Cake and Sprinkadoodle Cookies!! Gosh, they do like their food sweet and nutty. My neighbour is a Methodist Preacher who was brought up in America organised it and did the baking and I went with someone who had a spare ticket because his wife didn't want to go with him! All good fun but fatal for diabetics or nut allergic people.
On-topic. It reached 16° and now is a beautiful clear sky. I expect all are watching Eurovision?

Nah - been watching a programme about young kids on the loose in Blackpool being dealt with by the police, on 4seven. It's unbelievable how irresponsable some parents are, makes one wonder why they chose to have children.

999 What's your Emergency? Horrific programmes, it's a repeat of the series broadcast last year, really makes you despair doesn't it? However, they are only a small minority (I hope) but I wonder if these kind of programmes encourage others to act in the same way?

Yes, just catching up with that thread. (and looking forward to playing my new British music cd tomorrow) I might watch the Eurovision for the voting, which is the best part!

Not watching Eurovision here. I put it on for the voting but put it off after three minutes or so as I was not impressed by the commentator (who him?) trying to be a pale imitation of Wogan.

It's Graham Norton, agreed, not a patch on Wogan. Anyway, it's gone weird, still votes coming in but they have announced Denmark have won, I think UK got about 23 points, better than nul. Also, since when have Azabaijan been in Europe, what happened to Eurasia? I liked Greece, men wearing kilts (or pretending to be a ladies hockey team?) anyway, they were fun but I saw very few of the songs. Denmark's winning song seems a pop song you will not remember in the morning.

A much better day here than yesterday. Reasonably sunny and moderately warm. Very little wind for once which makes it feel quite pleasant. Trusty Berghaus put away!

Ne'er cast a clout till May be out! I'm not putting mine away yet. It's 16° here, zero wind, and the BBC forecast promises more of the same for the rest of the week. However, I see the Met Office have just issued a yellow warning for Scotland: A rather warm, moist airmass derived from Scandinavia will be drawn west and south across Scotland during Monday, and into parts of northern England later in the day. All the ingredients are there for some energetic storms to form by the afternoon in eastern Scotland, transferring across parts of the central lowlands and southern Scotland by evening, as well as parts of northern England. although that doesn't seem to appear on the BBC weather page yet.
I seem to have frittered away most of the morning so will resume garden duties this afternoon.
