Last heard going for lunch as described on the "Favourite Hostelries" Thread.

Glum start in the Pennines this morning - now clear skies and sunshine ... AND ... I've just seen the first bumblebee of the year in the lavender.

Chucked it down Wednesday and Thursday night, drizzled thru day, huge plunging puddles, but warm. I have discarded my fleece lined Paddington and scarf and now sport just my Berghaus waterproof a single layer. Well, that's a start, I suppose

According to my phone, there's a real danger that, in this neck of Sir Henffordd, temperatures might rise above 15⁰C this coming Sunday AND that there will be sunshine; I won't be digging out the factor 30 for the foreseeable, though, since it's supposed to drop to single figures again and be raining by next Tuesday...

I took a cab to luncheon (Hostelries, q.v.) and back

Having said that I was thinking about pedalling off and almost instantly the sky darkened and it's just been chucking it down... so I've stuck around and got some routine stuff done... Sky's brightening, so now...

time soon to start my week off

Seriously, I too hope she is OK - long time no hear from.
No warm weather here! It's chucking it down and cold. I've been away from the boards for a bit because my mother hasn't been very well. I sent out a general alarm to the siblings and was able to rustle up a bit of response from them. Recently, two of my sisters and I had a meeting with the nurses, social worker etc. at Mom's nursing home to discuss her care. Some changes have been made to her meds and care plan and she seems the better for the changes. I see that saly isn't feeling well either. I hope she's OK down in darkest Kent. Fingers crossed. It's been a sad time. Last week we lost a dear friend in Lincs. She died quite suddenly, unexpectedly, at the young age of 65. Sorry to be a wet blanket but life seems to throw curve balls once in a while. On a good note, the HH is much, much better now, minding his diet etc and looking forward to taking the MG out on the road as soon as the weather warms up a bit.
