e have had that thing up in the sky again today. Me and the mrs were out for most oif the day yesterday. Taking advantage of the weather!

It's been snowing here for the last hour or so - not heavily, but snowing, nevertheless.

Blimey! We had a tiny three-minute flurry on Wednesday afternoon, but it's been much more pleasant since then - but still cold: overnight frosts for the past three days.

Yesterday, in my car, I did get a brief glimpse of a yellow, circle-y thing above me. But then it turned green, so I had to move on.

It's been much better here for the past couple of days with plenty of much needed sunshine and decently warming. Thank goodness that god-awful wind has finally gone!

i am sure it has moderated in the middle kingdom; swmbo came in yesterday and told me to turn the fire off .... i was freezing but maybe because i expected to freeze dunno ... hazy sunshine and no fire this morning but i am cold .... taking ages to dry the laundry despite it being a very dry cold out there ...

Well, Praise The Lord!! The strong wind has veered to a SSE, it's 8.2 without the aid of sunshine (in fact high cloud and occasional shafts) so it certainly does seem Spring has arrived. I should be reporting that I've been busy with outside jobs ...... but I haven't. I've been catching up with Corrie and Creepy Karl!! What a dreadful confession But Sunday should be a day of rest, shouldn't it?

"Brummie" Simon is very slow coming up with his forecast for today. Could he be at Confession, I'm wondering - since his rosy if rather damp predictions for the forthcoming week don't seem to be tallied by the BBC week-long forecast this morning, effectively saying this is as high as temperatures will reach this week.

I need to know if it's safe yet to put out my eagerly shooting pellargoniums and Clivias!

Marthe is supposed to be where the warmer weather is to emanate from. I think she's keeping quiet so as not to disappoint us here!

on the far side of the usa it is about 33C says my man .... too hot, far too hot i lied ....

do trust that marthe is enjoying fine weather ..

walked about a bit at the Great Water locally this afternoon, met a chap who had just cycled from Leicester to The Water [some 25m] ... he was 70! .. i felt suitably chastened as i struggled walking back to the car park ... while he got ready to cycle back! it was warm, passably warm for a while ...

Your stranger puts me to shame as well, Calum; very doubtful if I could make 50 miles today, even across country - I could have 20 years ago!!!

Milky sunshine here, reasonable visibility, light SE wind, temperature max 11 C. I think the pellargs should be OK (they're in a sheltered S facing situation) and the clivia too - which throughout the winter unfortunately has been sitting next to a radiator in my spare room, meaning it's unlikely to flower this year - if only I had a cool light storage area!

Been out and about most of the day,very warm and sunny and no coat needed which was nice.
10 degrees apparently,but felt much warmer after walking 8 miles with the dog.
