Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Here as well, Cali - in fact a heavy mixture of rain, hail and snow, and a few rumbles of thunder just to make things more interesting! The weather systems would all appear to have ground to a halt. Even our friendly weather system Brummie Simon is now shilly-shallying around the idea of warmer weather getting in by the weekend.
I left work at 8.00 yesterday evening, and had about 5 cm - or 2" - of snow to remove from the car. It's been snowing lightly all night, so the 2" - or 5 cm - have re-appeared. The ploughs have been out, sometime before 6.00 when I got up and the roads and pavements are clear, but the snow is still coming down, more heavily now.
Good wishes to all, especially those in worse affected areas.
It's just been quite depressing, blue skies to start, grey moving in, not exactly cold (although 4° when I went out this morning, rising to 6.7°) no snow, no rain, low cloud, no chance of comet spotting, typical January day I suppose. I remember, last year last week of March, it was so warm when I was in Sussex and year before, I travelled up to Co. Durham early April and then later down to Lancs and spent April 10th on Morecombe Beach - paddling!! It seems to have been a very, very, long Winter and I, for one, am completely fed up with it.
S_A, please come up with a forecast that we can look foward to!
