Back following serious computer probs - won't bore with details, but thanks for all the concerns.

Lovely day here - actually put washing out on the line fir the first time this year. Japanese Quince on the south-facing wall in full flower is in for a shock later this week - I'm afraid that easterly from Russia is due to return again.
Welcome back, S_A! This is very good news, though I'm sorry to hear about your pooter problems, but also glad that it was not a health problem.

Bad news about the easterly from Russia, though It's 17.30 here and still light outside

Another lovely sunny day here; it was c 11°-12° yesterday afternoon. It's been freezing overnight, and it's around 1° C at the moment.

Bright sun but cold wind here today. Saturday into Sunday, another 6" of snow fell, though it was fluffy powder and easy to shovel. It's almost time to trim my Japanese Maples. The Flowering Quince isn't ready to bloom, though if I cut branches and bring them in, I can force a few blossoms. I'm glad to see that s_a is back. In a month's time, we'll be celebrting all things green with the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

Back on topic - very cold wind here although some sun earlier.

Mahlerei, our no 1 post is making a slow but steady recovery from his recemt eye op. [According to latest, last night I think]

I am determined to catch up with unplayed CDs - where does the time go ???

I'm very glad to hear that mahlerei is on the mend. Here, the air is brisk but the sun is bright giving us a small taste of March weather. I woke up with no pain in my leg so will bundle up and go for a walk before the weather changes again. Excitement in the houseplant world, my Clivia has set bud and should be flowering in the near future. It's a fickle plant and won't flower unless it's got a mind to...and its requirements have been met.
