Anna, sound's delicious! I'll take raspberries anytime...even Spanish ones, or Californian over here. I was still picking late raspberries, from our canes, just before Chritmas. They were a bit frosted but a treat none the less. This was the autumn crop. We always get some in summer and a handful in autumn. I love the combination of raspberries and currants. My grandmother always made a delicious jelly (the kind you spread on toast) from the juice of raspberries and currants. Exquisite color and flavor. The jelly-making process took place in summer while we were visiting. We children got to help and taste.

I hope that S-A is OK and not down with a cold or worse. We need our weather guru to make sense of those isobars for us!

Good presenter, Cox... Even the odd narcissistic shot of him looking über-cool in shades seems slightly ironic, as it's offset by the little vignettes, like him repeatedly dropping the little ear bones (and muttering "bloody hell! idiot!" ) or presenting to camera with an enormous alligator getting closer and closer in the water behind, turning and... pause... "he's quite big, isn't he?"

And the octopus is such a great thing! (I've dived with some, they're hilarious!)

yep saw that .... mostly could understand the quantum physics but have bad case of the boggles with the implications of the Pauli Exclusion thingy for all the electrons in the universe which must be one of those numbers eh ..... and each with its own unique energy level? and the interference patterns and the Feynman equation still seem rather elusive to me ....

beef dripping with brown bits and salt on chunks of bread for supper on Sunday [swoon i could murder a slice now!] ... b&ggar the blood pressure etc ....

Very sorry to hear about your asthma (and your reaction to Brian Cox ) BBM. I've had a very wheezy ten days but not full-blown attacks. Does your GP give you a 'preventer' (beclametasone inhaler)? I have two puffs of that twice a day plus salbutamol as & when required. I'm upping the preventer at the moment.

I have a similar reaction to some of the detail in Prof Cox's programmes but I'm so grateful for being treated to such intelligence & learning I don't mind watching several times.

As for the dripping & salt & BP ... I had some roast lamb this weekend and had a salty lamb jelly sarnie last everning

good luck with the asthma BBM, breathlessness has a whole new relevance for me since giving up the weed ..... [just think of Toon eh]

thank you amateur51yues I do have a 'preventor' inhaler, I think its the one you have(the name looks familar!)

On another subject I see that they academics at Leicester Univeristy have confirmed about the bones in the leicester car park as being that of Richard III! (The last Plantagenet monarch). What a dynasty!!
