Never heard of that one, Anna - BS5's a part of Bristol called Easton so maybe it adds Easton promise to your noggins?
I use black and white pepper, but the one I use all the time is the Bristol blend which is: Black Pepper, Green Pepper, Pink Pepper, White Pepper, Pimento. And is incredibly aromatic and flavoursome. And I in trouble for letting strange vegetables talk me into taking them home!
S_A, is it? I thought I may have been doing a sort of Song of Solomon type thing or just some soft-porn food writing!
Oh dear, I'm afraid it was Adrian Mitchell's Tell Me Lies About Vietnam I was thinking of. Sorry to spoil the party - I won't offer the link, obviously; but that link did come up with an odd coincidence. In my mind's eye, this could so easily be Cailban trying out a new model of bicycle around streets not a stone's throw from his neck o' the woods!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

After a bright and sunny morning we've had the most colossal downpour late morning - including hail! Flying in the vicinity of Stratford on Avon yesterday at about 3,000ft skirting around some cumulus cloud I suddenly saw the most magical rainbow to my left and slightly below which seemed to travel alongside me for quite a while. Nice travel companion!
My life, each morning when I dress, is four and twenty hours less. (J Richardson)
At last, the voice of reason and single-entendre!! (At least I think so!)
How are you saly? Unpleasantly cold, ain't it? Had to reactivate the heating, and get a man in as two radiators were playing up... Toasty today for the first time

Clear blue sky here in NW2, bright sunshine and a very sharp nip in the air. Perfect weather for striding out somewhere if one's legs are up to that, but I may go for a toddle somewhere later ( I do wish I'd bought that cap, salymap )
Thick mist here and only 1.9C, hopefully sun will burn it off in due course. When Cali posted his recipe it struck me that 2tbsps of harissa was rather a lot. Bit of digging this morning reveals he's using a Lorraine Pascale recipe and she says 1tbsp of harrisa - perhaps Cali just likes it super hot?? (Never watched Ms. Pascale, thought she mainly did cakes)
I uzed to keep rabbits and am not sure if Mahlerei's buns are Flemish Giants, Dutch, or something else.
Reminds me of Watership Down.
You've read the book and seen the film, now eat the pie.(sorry).
Blue sky and bright sunshine here but very cold, perfect for a very long walk with the dog and something nice on the i pod (John Field piano music I think today).
