Glorious weather in the Manchester area today.
Walked the dog for miles today whilst listening to Mendelssohn chamber music on the i-pod (thats me doing the listening, not the dog )

Been a lovely day here too, marred by the fact that the wooden garden bench is still in the shed and my neighbour seems to be out/away. No strong men when you need them

Very balmy in Kent today. decided to do a Heath Robinson and construct an outside run for the buns. Plant in with meadow grass and add some pot plants and a small hutch for shade.

Morning Mahlerei, lucky buns to have a special run. If you are short ofmeadow grass I have a large lawn full ofthe stuff. Apparently around here was an apple orchard until the mid-thirties when it was built on and a proper lawn has neve been laid. Grass cutters always moan about it, and it is very uneven but beyond help from me now.

A misty/sunny morning here in NW2, signs of new growth on my clematis, daffies nodding away, cherry tree getting buddier by the day, mild enough to have my patio door open to let some fresh air in - aaah it might as well be Spring!

Has anyone been star gazing past couple of nights with such wonderful clear skies? Jupiter and Venus have been fantastic, moving slowly together, will be really close tonight and closer still tomorrow. Haven't seen such beautiful stars for ages. Grey mist here didn't clear until around 2.30pm but beautiful now.

Or indeed planets... And yes! Been watching them on my cycle rides home, drifting 'closer' over the past week or so... Spectacular. Can't see Mercury, which is a little lower in the sky: can you Anna, from the hills and with much less light pollution?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Oh, Mr. Picky! Well I meant stars as well which have been brilliantly twinkling because any fule no Jupiter and Venus are planets! Can I see Mercury? I can see the whole Universe from my Eyrie
Edit: Having checked, Mercury will have dropped from view by now, around the 4th was the best evening to view
