Spalding? The theory I've heard has something to do with inter-breeding.

Potatoes don't make you fat, any more than other high carbohydrate foods do, it's what you put on them that pushes the calories up. Therefore a jacket potato loaded with butter and cheese is not a good thing! If people took a little bit more exercise instead of sitting in front of a computer ......

mercia, that article is a bit out of date (2006) but chine, a shoulder cut of pork, partly boned, filled with parsley, actually sounds rather nice. Takeaways, I think, are very unhealthy and of course, you never know what salt, sugar, fat, levels are in them. Also, aren't they horrendously expensive!

I don't see why a Chelsea bun would hurt. However I was attacked by a Danish Pastry recently.A cousin fetched it from the local handy store, not realising it was as hard as iron. she then accidentally hit me
with it and I received a bruise on my face. We didn't.even get our money back, The assistant took it and said she would tell the manager. Insult to injury

If you look none too closely at those spiral-shaped Danish pastries, they don't half resemble hurricanes, as taken by satellite photography.

Someone once joked that if you put one on a CD player, it plays a currant hit. Me, actually.

Just got the bins in and weather here very nasty indeed.

Presumably windier on the various coasts too. Stay safe.
