    Lovely film.
    Ah yes, of course saly!

The drizzle that was predicted to be heavy rain has now cleared here; the visibility is perfect with a sky full of lovely puffy cumulus clouds, though it's still very humid. Have I the energy to cycle all the way to Chiswick and back tonight is the question on my mind...

There's a lovely smell of Bramley apples, cooked with brown sugar and cinnamon in my kitchen. Almost Christmas come early, thanks to the early ripening of fruit this year.

Big black clouds circling around though, looks as though someone in the S/E is having a storm.

Ah - Chiswick pubs, I take it Calum and Vinteuil mean...

I see to be a magnet for friendly drunks! Last night it was a freelance chef making his way home from a function he'd been catering for in Hammersmith, so I had to be his, er, guide, as he managed to dispose of a pile of expensive crockery on the choob floor, and all the way home, since he was getting off at Penge, the next stop from mine on the Victoria train! I would have done better to have cycled!!!

It was nearly a 20 minute wait at Ravenscourt Park for an eastward-destined District Line after the gig in the very well appointed Polish Centre in King St. Polish, but definitely no spit. Chiswick was always a bit too far west for my investigating as a nipper, and I was surprised what a well-appointed district it is, and presumably always has been?

Brixton was quiet last night; no signs of trouble anywhere, just the usual scantily attired revellers

From this morning yet another of those so-so days we've mostly been enjoying this summer looms, as I prepare to pedal off to the open air Canary Wharf Festival for some al fresco jazzzzzz.

              have a lovely Sunday, all!

good luck with the weather S_A .... i hope the BBC forecast is right for once though the intimations of thunder round here suggest otherwise ... i have to deliver sprog to lunnun this afternoon ...

yep S_A ...and an excellent brewery ..Fullers ....though the morning after could be purgatory in several senses of that word ...

In the words of Frank Cousins to a t.u. conference I attended many moons ago: "If the bottom has fallen out of your world, come to friendly Scarborough; go to one of its many curry houses, sample its excellent beer, and the world falling out of your bottom"

......ice cream, or even a choice of all four?

I do a lot of cooking, but have never really ventured into the realms of baking. But if you can buy packets of grumble topping............ well, I must look into this.
