It's the remnants of cloughie's storm last night, BBM. At least it's milder today! A woman in Sainsbury's lift disagreed with me this morning, saying it was still cold enough for an overcoat, but she mentioned the maximum yesterday being 11 degrees!! She was right!!! I'm just left wondering how many nerdy types like me are there around who make a point of remembering the previous day's maximum temperature!

Somewhere between the twain here in the Pennines today - chilly edge to the air, in spite of the day-long sunshine.
Gone cloudy and overcast, presumably ready for the rain forecast throughout tomorrow.

A lovely spring day, down hereabouts.17C, no less!
Looks as if the North and South of England (at least) have swapped weathers from yesterday - it hasn't stopped raining since 9:30 this morning here - and distinctly chilly.

Rigfht so...'showers in Northern England'- so said BBC national forecast.
Huh.
Been raining NON-STOP since dawn here, and as I look out while Hereford Cath are singing sublimely, it is low cloud and dreech to the horizon in all directions.

The weather is rarely dull, often dramatic, the landscape both exciting and forbidding, smaller communities friendly and energetic. And for the most part, refreshingly clean and pollution free.
