Hang on! The weather is horrible, BUT as I said, it's never dull and always 'dramatic'.
I didn't say I wanted to live anywhere else. And a Bloomsbury bedsit would be pretty near the bottom of my list!!

....it may be that with vint's excellent wine cellar : fings ain't never dull and is always dramatic [several sics]....(especially with his access to his new French butter dooda)....
Incredible wind hurling clouds across the big sky here in rural Cambridgeshire
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
... the kind of weather which makes one grateful that humanity did in the end decide to settle and build houses - even if Messrs Tarleton and Harari (of the 'British Liberalism' thread) might have other views...
It's atrocious here too - drizzle turned heavier, the cloud base is now so low the hills have disappeared and an umbrella is no good as it's blowing a hooley. Yesterday morning was the same yet the afternoon clearing to absolutely clear blue skies and sun and the decidedly lower temps shot up, quite warm again today. There will a Christmas full moon - the first one for 34 years. What cosmic significance this foretells I have no idea.
Shops not particularly busy, I went into Waitrose to look at the new variety of potato (Inca Bella) which has been bred as a super quick roaster. It had a warning to keep an eye on them as they crisp within 25 minutes - I took that to mean if you're not careful you'll have cinders so I didn't buy any!

Maybe it's high time we got together for them and opened a branch.
Sun here too, at last.
Solar panels finally registering some output worth having: 730 W as I type, and that might improve as we reach high noon and more sun hits the panels (oriented west of south).
Only 505 Wh yesterday; already 672 Wh today.
Lovely day but provoking white finger syndrome quite quickly....
I'm all for Stormy Weather 2 for the new year....or can a host hack off the first 15,000 post and store them elsewhere....taking soooooo loooooong to load.....

Ouch - that can be painful. You need to ask Santa for a pair of fur lined mittens.
Lots colder here too, struggled to get up to 10.5° after a very chill start and it was such a wild, wet and windy night it woke me up beating against the window. But, hooray!, we've had more or less non-stop sun and blue skies here, a welcome respite before more rain.
I think this thread should be shortened rather than started anew because it's useful sometimes to look back. Is Host Cali qualified to fiddle about backstage and push a few buttons or does Frenchie have to do it?
