    Tuning WOO

    So following on from reading about Prince's online "interview" where he only made one statement about how all music should be tuned to A=432 I found a whole heap on nonsense.

    We really do seem to have a science education crisis in the world

    (there's loads of this stuff )

    Most music worldwide has been tuned to 440 hertz since the International Standards Organization (ISO) endorsed it in 1953. The recent redisc...




    and someone who actually knows what they are talking about (ship him off to Bath I say)

    I agree. It's twaddle. But potentially lucrative twaddle for musical instrument manufacturers.

    Mathematicians used to use C = 256 simply to facilitate their calculations.

      These 432 fanatics, when they move from A, what tuning do they use for other notes? How do they deal with the Pythgorean comma?
