Does time hang heavy for some? 271 posts concerning a rather parochial dispute?

Archbishop Justin Welby is known for his mediation skills. Tis time these were drawn upon

Unless he's going through one of his 'full of doubt' phases

What? Parochial? Have you never heard of Acoustic Ecology?
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I did want to concede that there are wider issues than the purely 'parochial'.

When some were equating it with a cathedral, others were anxious to point out that Bath Abbey is merely a parish church - but as I felt obliged to assert, it has at least a half share in a bishop.

At least a half? Wells does have a cathedral and the Episcopal Seat is in Wells. Even the suffragan is the Bishop of Taunton [it says here].

Well all right, perhaps slightly less than a half share - but wherever he mostly hangs out, the bishop-in-chief is Bishop of Bath and Wells, not Bishop of Bath and Wells and Taunton.
