Save money on expensive personalised car number plates by simply changing your name to match your existing plate, eg Mr KVL 741Y

I was quite chuffed that my car has a composer's name as its last three registration-letters - just a pity that I know none of his music EGK.
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Oh Egk! Don't say you don't know any of Werner's best bits?

Since that is a 1983 Renault it is probably time to trade it in, and also get a new name?

Most french folks would consider that just nicely run in, I would think.

The french lack of car snobbery does them much credit.

I wouldn't mind that myself, although I'd rather have a doorbell that plays the celesta figure at the close of his fourth symphony - now that really would be something!

                        But back to topic!...

I wait to learn that our elected mayor has paid the needful to acquire BR15TOL

He is rumoured to be a millionaire, albeit driving Smart cars and riding a bicycle. But perhaps a billionaire would be needed!

... sadly, "millionaire" means so little now - certainly to anyone who owns even the teensiest property in even the most unfashionable part of London...

"Billionaire" may be a bit excessive. Mind you, on holiday last year, staying with someone doing deals with Russian oligarchs, I did hear him say - à propos the profit which might accrue to him of some such deal - "Well, half a billion isn't really that much... "

I needed Mme V by my side to show with pencil and paper that half a billion was - even now - Quite A Lot Of Money ...
