Recently I watched FLOG IT and the presenter said Worcester was known for its Sauce.
The statue of Elgar would have had a answer to that.
Any other statues come to mind?
There's the statue of the bronze frog in the delightful Satie song, whose title escapes me, who complains of having coins thrown down its throat. If I knew it I'd look up a youtube link.

... quite the most Over The Top musical monument I have come across is that of Pergolesi in Jesi, in the art nouveau / stile "Liberty" of the 1910s, replete with swooning damsels and exalted angels - surrounding a grand piano in white Carrara marble...

My mother had that picture on a biscuit tin as I was growing up and I've always had a hankering to visit but, somehow, never got around to it!
A wonderful spot. As a youngster I attended the Glenfinnan Highland Games, Cameron of Lochiel himself presiding. Also taken the West Highland Line over the viaduct.....
