    Lyndon Jenkins RIP

Just read in Classical Recordings Quarterly of the death of Lyndon Jenkins 24/4/14 aged 75.

A regular broadcaster on R3 during 1983-1999, and part of Birmingham Town Hall and Symphony Hall management 1993-2004, conducted the CBSO on occasion, wrote on Beecham and Delius, frequent speaker on recorded music and contributor to CRQ.

Not really a Delian or a Beecham addict, I always enjoyed LJ's avuncular contributions on Radio3.

An ideal next door neighbour I'd say.

Will look out for obituaries. A rather disappointing response in this parish.

Alison, as Lyndon Jenkins died in April I expect all obituaries have been published. He was much appreciated in Birmingham (Town Hall, Symphony Hall), and I have found only this tribute

Mr Jenkins played a key role in the proposed NEC development, ultimately taking on the role of Press Officer after it opened in 1976
