    Unintended references?...

Countryfile, BBC1, yesterday, 18 May 2014 (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006t0bv); in a piece about birdsong, the presenter Ellie Harrison (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellie_H...8journalist%29 - don't visit her personal website, as McAfee reports it as "dangerous" to do so, for whatever reason or none), referred to the "Harrison Bird Whistle".

Unless my ears (and what small amount of useful stuff might or might not still lie between them) deceive me, I (sadly) kid you not.

Was this deliberate on a scriptwriter's part or purely accidental, does anyone think?...

        Tweet tweet.

        Had any Talisker yet?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Not yet. Might go there later in the week.
Skye Ale is to my taste though.

It ranks with Monteverdi's paean to the Western Wind :-/
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I think he would have been better off facing East.

Yes, but it's not such a good example as the one at the Church of St. Mary Redcliffe, which is a Harrison & Harrison whistle in Bristle.

I don't think so; perhaps it will be the subject of David Attenborough's Tweet of the Day next Sunday morning.

Of course, given her own name, she might just have been being self-referential.

Here's a wolf whistle, which reminds me of what happened when that lovely Julian Lloyd Webber fan joined the forum.

                        Wait for it...........

Your irony detection system still seems to be defective.
