British Pathe on youtube

British Pathé has added all 85,000 of its films to its YouTube channel. Not just 'news' newsreels, but also a host of musical items.

They don't seem yet to have separated music items into groups or genres and searching is difficult.

Be prepared to watch/listen for hours.

The coverage of the first night of Gloriana shows us that music was the least important thing that evening. It's entirely social. How many crowned heads were there is obviously the point.
