Made a one hour documentary about Andrew Carnegie with Magnus Magnusson. Much time & effort. A few years later thought a copy would be of benefit to the the local museum. Asked BBC Scotland for a copy - nothing doing, what they had is now lost - no trace.
Would like to see the final outcome of me ' drowning ' Jane Asher in 'Mill on the Floss ' A 4 x episode historical drama. I never saw the actual final version. It was not shown in Scotland because ' you lot ' were on 625 lines, we, in Scotland were on 405 & ne're did the twain meet. On enquiry, all copies lost.
I notice a recent mention in the ' Radio Times ' that they are offering DVD's of ' Dr Finlay's Casebook ' for sale. Except, of course large numbers from a certain period in time - they too have somehow managed to have become ' lost .'
Anyone wishing to be rid of any old rubbish, ( it doesen't even have to be rubbish ), you'll know now where to leave it.
There were times working there I wished I too could have been ' lost.'
