    BBC and advertising

I recently saw a display at Inverness Airport which seemed to subvert the whole business of the BBC's policies on not carrying advertisements. A firm of estate agents have engineered the display so that on one side there are adverts for houses, on the right hand side there is BBC TV, and under the TV display there is another advertising banner for the agents. Surely the BBC should be able to restrict this kind of use (misuse?) or is this an attempt to get more money back for the corporation by charging the agents for doing this. Otherwise, it could be that effectively there is some form of copyright infringement.
