Forgive me for being cynical but one of your contributions to this thread was lifted wholesale from someone's blog and in another you wrongly claimed that the BBC's reporting of certain facts was incorrect.

Google makes it just too easy for people to appear knowledgeable. Perhaps you are a physicist or engineer with specialist knowledge but, once again, forgive me for being sceptical.

This reminds me slightly of Piglet's wise advice to put the deep pit just in front of the Heffalump before it fell in.

        Nine months -

"Radiation levels in the sea near reactor 2 rose to 6,500 times the legal limit on Friday, up from 1,100 times a day earlier, Tepco has said, raising fears of fresh radiation leaks".

"Japan's recovery bill has been estimated at $300bn (£184bn) - already the most expensive disaster in history."

"America has won Japanese admiration for sending scores of US ships and aircraft as well as 20,000 troops to help the relief effort."

No comment - or involvement - from Britain or France mentioned.

That's right, we are spending our money (?) in Libya instead.

I think this is self explanatory! Please avoid quoting long chunks of copyright material - especially from Times Newspapers. The notification which we received today from our host included an email from TNL which was dated approximately three weeks before our post appeared. This possibly might suggest that it was sent somewhere else first and copied to everyone else claimed to be similarly in breach of copyright.

I'm closing the thread to avoid further trouble here

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
