Coming to you live from "Southbank Centre"

I think one must leave out the definite article (q.v "Wigmore Hall") to be 'on trend', mustn't one...?

I was cycling by t'South Bank Centre this morning so popped in (sorry, 'popped up') for a look-see.

A fair sprinkling of retired-looking folk sitting at the tables ranged in front of the studio, listening through the cordless headsets that were being handed out. Mr Cowan was meeting his fragrant fans during the playing of the recorded interview with ruggerman Moore:

.... and it was back to basics in case of problems with the online running order

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I hope things picked up later on

Outreach surely works when and if there is conviction behind it?

    Best Wishes,

True! Would have been so easy to have a go at that first 'R' in 'Rafferty'...

The chalkboard is so ... retro, innit

Maybe Roger's relaunching Radio 3 as a land-based pirate radio station?

If anyone else says 'pop-up bluddy-studio' again on Radio 3, I shall defenestrate my radio.

i was at the RFH last night and didn't see anything pop up. I didn't get where I am today by seeing things pop up in public places. where should i have looked?

I wonder if Lorin left his metronome in the pop up, perhaps?

If he did, I hope they get it back to him soonish............
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

Maybe it needs a new battery or wind up...

Was Lorin Maazel subjected to a Fafferty Experience before last night's concert?

Might account for the slowness of the performance

Praps raffers wanted to interview him afterwards, so he span it out a bit....

Anyway, I enjoyed the concert despite the leisurely pace of the performance.
