Huge thanks to both for the initial steer (which I missed) and the reminder - as you say, unbelievable riches there!

As well as the concert you mention specifically, Syd, I was hooked by this one: Les Siècles & F-X Roth in Lully, Berg and Richard Strauss... with Barbara Bonney! http://www.citedelamusiquelive.tv/Co...-baptiste.html

    Remarkable place, t'internet

      Internet radio stations.

A recent newspaper article led me to this internet station, playing uninterrupted "Renaissance and Mediaeval Musicke"

Has been good having it on occasionally in the corner of the kitchen while plucking the linnets, braising the viands and stirring the pottage...

Recently junked the old FM tuner from my hifi in favour of the 320kbps R3-iTunes-Airport Express solution! Much better!

I thought that was why you are here, and also running this site! We know (I think) that you don't do TV. l

We live in hopes! The appalling fact is that people have become so programmed [sic] that most can't conceive of life without TV and/or radio. I am here and running this site as part of a campaign to get Radio 3 returned to a serious, professional, grown-up, intellectual station based on arts and music, presented to high standards. A station which prides itself on being different from other broadcast media, not trying to emulate its more populist relatives. But if that is asking too much, I might stop campaigning and stop running this site.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I've just upgraded my bedroom radio to the new Roberts 93i (review here). I am extremely impressed. A very neat package with good DAB and network streaming. A new thing for me was its ability to link, using an individual code the radio gives you, to a website where you have set "My Favourite" internet stations.

Although I've drifted away fro R3 over the years, I've found that a recently acquired habit of 'listening again' has brought me to some marvellous programmes on R3 & 4 lately. For example, episodes on 'Discovering Music' on R3 and the 'Analysis' series on R4.

Many internet radios will not be able to play BBC on-demand content after the Windows Media streams are switched off on Dec. 31st.

could stream on demand programmes on internet radios.

But if I did, I would be bloody annoyed at the BBc changing this without consulting us.

                                typical !!

( how does one access on demand on an internet radio?)

Edit: Rads, I assume this is not relevant to PC access?
