It might be worth a try doing a 'power cycle' (turning off and back on) which is what I did. After that I was able to access the station list and save presets.

Just a follow-up on this: the missing stations were back in the list within about 24 hours. Quite impressed with how Frontier Silicon responded to my support requests.

        Just got a new receiver:

Previously, if I wanted to listen to internet radio stations on my main hi-fi, I was using the computer to connect to the stations and then piping the result into the hi-fi via a vast tangle of cables. I finally got sick of this, and decided to get a proper unit which I could add to the hi-fi system. I was encouraged by the reviews for this box, and astonished at the price (well below that of the competition). So far, I'm very impressed (set-up was straightforward, and the sound quality is superb.)

(So nice to be able to switch over to Audiophile Classical with one button-press, when something unbearable comes on R3 (seems to happen more and more these days.))

Looks very good value. Enjoy it. You will never get tired of how easy something like this is to use (I tried various methods before settling on a Hama unit similar to yours) and nothing compares!

This (getting the voice message) has just happened with my Roberts Stream 202.
The stations were not even presets as such, but accessed through the 'Last Listened' option.
I have printed out the list of stations in post #101, and will use that as a basis to explore new stations.

There is a lot of fun to be had exploring the huge list of stations that comes up on the radio. It's very good displacement activity.....

My Auna receiver uses the site Frontier Silicon Internet Radio as the portal from which it gets lists of stations and streams. Apparently they had a major glitch over the weekend, and have had to do some serious reconfiguration and reprogramming to get things working again. More here:

(I've thought for a while that the use by these receivers of a single portal to access all the stations was a bit of an Achilles heel - if the portal hits a problem, all the stations vanish. Better would be to be able to tune into each station separately (if so desired.))

Thanks for the link petertk: I have taken my courage in both feet and invested, so old FM tuner and Humax set-top box should soon be pensioned off. (Don't tell them yet)

The Humax was supposed to be giving me this afternoon's R3 afternoon concert (Elgar 1st symph etc via Freeview channel 703) but I was not amused by frequent loss of LH channel and possibly other wandering balances. Was this just (local?) Freeview or did DAB/ internet users also suffer?
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

I note from a negative review on amazon.co.uk that there was a problem with the coax digital output. Have you tried this output? If so, what was your experience of its performance via this output?

I've just joined this forum , so maiden post.......
Just written to the controller of Radio Three for the second time....he doesn't get back.....to tell him I was going "internet radio" to avoid the dreadful music on R3 in the late evening.
I bought a Roberts a few years ago, and found it a bit of a prima donna.. dear too. It works reasonably well though. So this time I bought a Peterhouse Graduate at about half the price, and it is doing pretty well. Nice tone. Should I have started a new thread? Just wanted to say hello really!!

Hi Zevon....I see you list HiFi as an interest which certainly chimes with me.... hope you'll join in with the Proms discussions and reviews when they start next week.....

Thank you for that. I'm surprised I haven't washed up here ages ago. Yes hifi of a certain vintage I'm afraid, never really struggled into the twenty first century as far as hifi. Barely struggled out of the 1970's and '80's! Looking forward to the proms.... the classical bits anyway.

Welcome to the forum. I'm a big internet radio fan. I've struggled to find a regular late night alternative to R3 do you have one?
