Already a firm favourite with some Forum members, myself included, but I'm happy to second your recommendation and encourage others to tune in!

Just finished listening (via my PC) to Molique's rather fine Piano Trio No. 2, recorded by the Parnassus Trio.

Has the Roberts Radio got Bluetooth, if so you could send it from an app (vRadio is excellent) on your phone or spare tablet....or your 'smart' speaker may have Bluetooth.

While I'm at it, has anyone heard the 'new' internet station, Sonatica? It's available on most aggregator apps.

I've been using it a lot, but it does annoy me that I have to fire up the PC and put up with less than ideal sound and listening conditions in order to get access to the quantity and quality of music which I still think the BBC, as a public service broadcaster, should be making available without having to resort to Sounds (if it works) I spent money on(quite a lot by my standards and means at the time) to replace an old and failing radio set-up so that I could listen to R3, not realising that would only be worth doing for a limited time. It's what I pay my TV licence for after all, there being little of interest to me in the BBC TV output that justifies it otherwise!
It has highlighted for me though how much my listening has got numbed by hearing too much bitty R3, and also how much better the online information is on the Finnish station. I can see exactly what is on and when.

Another fan of YLE Klassinen here. However, they have been playing a lot of violin and piano sonatas this week!

Many european stations are carrying a concert from Saarland of interesting mainly early 17 century Italian music played by La Vaghezza (The Vague ones!), can't pass up such an intriguing name without investigation, can you! I'll listen via vRadio probably WDR3 as their stream is usually pretty good.

Don't know what an aggregator app is but I sought it out earlier. They were playing Beethoven 6. All of it!

The sound of classical. Listen online an enjoy hundreds of hours of the best classical music with our free classical music radio station stream.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Yes, I've listened a few times, and they usually do play whole works. At present they broadcast either via their webpage - which is what you found no doubt or via an aggregator app. (they just collect together many stations in one place, enabling one to use it as 'Radio Central' and on selection the station URL is sent to your device). Now, because Sonatica don't have a dedicated app., (yet?), to listen on a streamer or, say, smart speaker you have either to load the URL manually or use an 'aggregator' app....there are many of these, I use vRadio (it has every radio station in the world, just about...even the BBC ones....until three days ago!!) - many devices use vTuner, but confusingly it doesn't have a dedicated app. so is not so useful.

They have said that a 'Sonatica+' is 'coming soon' which will give a much better bitrate (only 128 Kbts MP3 at present) and will be aimed at the audiophile types, ie me!

Yes I'm actually listening on BR via vRadio as they use the AAC codec which is better into my DAC. Sounds good doesn't it!
