My interest in classical music started in 1966 when at the age of 20 I moved to Milan (Italy) for four years. There I discovered the wire broadcast which still exists today in Italy where it is broadcast also in DAB+.
Rai Radio FD 5 is a radio channel, owned and produced by the Italian State broadcaster RAI, which broadcasts uninterrupted classical music without commercials.
Its 5th channel - RAI Radio FD 5 Auditorium - can be heard via internet ( http://www.radiofd5.rai.it/dl/portal...html?refresh_c ) (96 kbps) and via satellite Hotbird 13° East (11804v 27500 DVB-S / 192 kbit/s). Schedules can be found on the mentioned internet page by clicking on "palinsesto" and then on the date. A weekly newsletter is also offered which contains a link to the coming weekly programs.
A short history of the Italian wire broadcast can be found here (only in Italian): http://www.radiofd5.rai.it/dl/portal...db0654ea9.html
