Sad to report, Herb died on Thursday 19th. Plenty of HEP albums to choose from to cover his later years...JRR a bit full of discs of the year (thanks boardees) and Tracey over the next couple of weeks, but hopefully if some of you drop me emails to the JRR address we can remember him in mid-late Jan.

The 57 album "That Geller Feller/Fire in the West" with Kenny Dorham and Harold Land is very fine. As is his work with Shelly Manne's quintet.
