Or Someone (needs) to watch over Beeb - or Pattenooga choo-choo - or maybe I'm gonna wash that Mark right out of my hair immediately followed by There's a plane that's leaving now for New York - or perhaps Send down the clowns - or even Smoke (and mirrors) gets in your eyes...

...and don't let's forget Noël Coward's song There are bad times just around the corner, with its immortal lines

There are bad times just around the corner,
The horizon's gloomy as can be,
          There are blackbirds over
          The greyish cliffs of Dover
And the rats are preparing to leave the BBC
          .

          Aaargh! Enough already!!

Well, that's enough for the first album.

How about calling the follow up album "Necks of Brass"?

Leading jazz critic Charles Foxed said that for the figure the BBC paid Mark Byford they could have brought Charlie Parker back to life and playing Stardust at the Christmas party wifh the Helen Boaden Allstars. Mark Byford refutes this.

The BBC regret that tonight's classic feature film Gold Diggers of 2013..."we're in the money!" will now be shown at a much later date. Instead viewers will see the Tom Hanks comedy, The Money Pit.

"Laugh? I split my bonus!" says Caroline Thompson.
