    yep copping tracks by Gilmore away from Sun Ra is like looking for hen's teeth ...
    According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

        A great album, on which it always sounds to me as if Gilmore plays alto, not tenor as billed... and I certainly didn't know Paul Bley said that, though for sure I agree with him!

          SA, it never struck me until I read Bley's very funny (and bloody minded) blindfold test on the "Do the Maths" site. If you think of the Jarrett/Dewey Redman qrt. you get the connection! Bley etc. did it all first.
