                  Btw, talking of strange stuff, just read an interview with Joe Henderson where he says the one record he loved as a kid and would never part with, was the Warne Marsh, Konitz, Tristano late 40s sessions. Sort of makes sense in retro...I can hear some Warne in Joe's tone and obliqueness.

                      Calum, I really love Warne Marsh's later ballad playing. I've got a bit of tape that Humph broadcast wayback of Warne playing "Lover Man" at some regional concert in Italy and it is just stunning, Wonderful player.
