    British Jazz on JRR

The editions of JRR which will form part of Radio 3's British Music season will go out on 8 and 15 June. I've lots of requests, but particularly focussed on the trad end of things, So come on boardees, let's have some other thoughts - music from Wales, Scotland and Ireland, and in styles other than trad and hard bop most appreciated. Post here or email jazz.record.requests@bbc.co.uk

How about something by Evan Parker? The title track from the 1996 ECM disc, Towards the Margins, perhaps?

I had an Azimuth track played last year (<thanks>) so I'll have to think of Some Thin' Else (sic).

OK - request now sent. I hope you likey.

It's not this - but it is a Loose Tubes number from the same LP (not available from Yewtyewb, so Alyn will have to play it for you if you want to know what it is yet...this one's for "Mr improv")

"Mr improv" and "King Kennytone" loved Loose Tubes, though not as much as Hermeto Pascoal.

                  Or Oren Marshall.
