    Jazz Videos from Leeds

Seven Jazz in Leeds have a wealth of videos of recent performances from the club on their YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/stevecrocker1 There's a mixture of local musicians and some biggish names from the UK and elsewhere, including The Impossible Gentlemen, Empirical, Gary Smulyan, John Taylor, and Karen Sharp with Nikki Iles.

    It's well worth checking out.

This one makes me feel very old indeed. I used to work with the pianist's mother - who's slightly younger than me - before he was born. The trumpeter, Kim Macari, is also involved in running Jazz Yorkshire's fine website and blog.

Terrific stuff on there Byas'd, for which many thanks.

What could become a gathering trend is an excellent way for venues to publicise their wares, as well as to get to know previously unknown musicians and bands. With apologies for piggybacking on your thread, Byas'd, (if needed), the SE Collective (from whence cometh Trish Clowes) has a broad sample from its home at the Amersham Arms (opp. New Cross Station if you're in town - drinks on me):
