    One for Grippie

    Grippie

Don't know if you caught this over the Christmas. I didn't realise that this was on.

In case you didn't realise this was on, here is the link to Ed Reardon's Christmas. Always amazed at just how sharp the writing is in this comedy.

It's Christmas day, but will Ed be spending it in the bosom of his family?

    Cheers

Thanks Ian, I spotted it in my trusty Radio Times He's not as bad as Trevor Cooper methinks

Looking through my trusty Christmas Double Issue Radio Times for Jazz I think I spotted the only jazz item on television for the festive period: Friday 4/1/13 tucked away on BBC4

    @ 2.00 am http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/pj...yond-the-notes

    @ 3.00am http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/pj...s-74---rescued

Also BBC Radio 2 on the 30/12: 11am to 1pm: John Humphrys does Jazz.

Thanks grippie - Ida missed these if you hadn't drawn them to attention... and probably will in any case, as I tend to make my own sweet dreams at those hours.

The Jan 4 Sonny at Ronnie's in '74 programme was disappointing. I think.

Just spotted this on BBC 6 music:
Celebrating the original hobo, bluesman David "Honeyboy" Edwards, whose death in 2011, severed a vital link to the music, memories and imagination that infuses all blues music.
A profile of the original hobo, bluesman David 'Honeyboy' Edwards.

Delighted to see that this film has been posted on Youtube. On the face of this, this animation appears to ba aimed at a teenage market but it is actually far more profound than you might think. The quality of the animation is sensational and something of a treat for the eyes.

In my opinion, this is worth a look if you had previously assumed that animation was for kids:-
