    Pasadena Roof Orchestra

This afternoon (16th) at 1705 on Sky Arts 2 (and HD)

Trad Jazz fans will surely enjoy this TV romp from Cadogan Hall. Some great vocals and ensemble playing.
I watched it last night and was gob-smacked by the quality of this outfit.

There may be somebody out there who is interested in sampling this excellent offering from Sky Arts and would wish to view this TV transmission.

On the other hand, If you are only interested in the weather outlook, there is a long running thread called "Stormy Weather" (not about Porgy and Bess, but devoted entirely to your fears and forecasts).

Many thanks for that. I'll certainly record that. It's a name I remember from well in the past.

Kind of novelty stuff, isn't it? Bit like the Temperance Seven back in the '60s, for anyone old enough to remember them...

As far as I remember, the Temperance Seven recorded Home in Pasadena in the early 60s (along with You're driving me crazy.) The Pasadena Roof Orchestra seems to be a slightly later group.

That's right VD - and there's another group similar to the PRO called the Midnite Follies Orchestra.

When you say 'brings back' do you mean in the manner of Proust or in the manner of talking to God on the big white telephone?

Is that why I've woken from a nap, snoozle or whatever it's called with a splitting headache? Are we to have the storm S-A ?

I'm hoping it's a spent force now, saly - or that it moves on its way in the next couple of hours, as I'm supposed to be heading out to Dalston this evening!

That is indeed the one, Mr GG:

Recorded live in Hastings 4/9/12 by Mark French. Cameras: Mark French and Richard Heslop Sound recording Will Thomson, PA Roger Carey Editor: Remy Lamont A Broadley…

The new Pat Metheny hairdos sported by half the band are no reflection on the music btw.
