    Muddy Waters......

....and the Rolling Stones. Is the jazz bored or world music the place for the blues ? Anyway, whatever one might think of the Stones's participation, I would urge people to at least view the first 25 minutes before they take the stage especially the majestic Country Boy with amazing slide from Muddy taking one all the way back from 1981 to the delta.

As well as various Stones ( and good to see the diffident Ian Stewart among the raging egos ) Buddy Guy and Junior Wells also show up and things fall apart and get a bit shambolic towards the end but still a good Chicago club night.

Nostalgic for me as I saw Muddy performing on a riverboat in New Orleans that year. Someone who retained all his chops right to the end.

I once sat in the Stones bus and talked about open guitar tunings with Keith and Brian. I also once bought Sonny Boy Williamson a bottle of wiskey. The 1960s...

Point being, this site is home of the blues, the Maxwell street of R3

    Many thanks for posting.
