Why DID I buy that CD?

Prompted by Anna's post (#2) on Calum's latest weekly jazz zone thread I thought it might be interesting to know if anyone else has wondered "Why did I buy that CD?"

    My starter for ten:

    Diana Krall: Quiet Nights

I bought this on the strength of Live in Paris and The Girl In the other Room, both of which I enjoyed immensely.

Not tempted by Glad Rag Doll I must say!

Old Ron speaks very highly of you though..!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

This is a brilliant album! Worth the money alone for "Mob job" and "Kathelin Gray."

View it positively - minimum of two charities stand to benefit from you.

Ian, If you want my delux boxed copy of Song X, you are most welcome! I loath that guitar sound....with a loathing.

Maybe someone should provide a big online box for all these reject CDs...for charwity.

                              Sky Dive - Freddie Hubbard

Not the worst record ever but it took about the whole of my Saturday job wage, not soulful or funky enough for my kind of Pop and not jazzy enough for my kind of Jazz, so ahead of its time really - very high quality Smooth Jass?
