Oh, dear, those were the days, my friend, I thought they'd never end ...
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

As King Kennytone would himself say, I'm sure:

      (*!$% )90&) 1>?:{PO0%*7! %^*& _)+=:@1898)*&)*&)(0-HIUh
all words are trains for moving past what really has no name

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

A real 'old-timer' - Richard the Shed. He dropped out of messageboarding a while back, before we started this forum, and my last email to him bounced (I think that was about 6-12 months ago).

Nice to read something from Knotweed King Kenny - the R3 moderators couldn't cope with him, and I'm not sure that I could either. Still, we don't really offer much of an opportunity to irritate the BBC as the old MBs did so we're less of an attraction

According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

That used to be called a churchyard cough on account of being able to produce bass harmonics in unison. When my voice broke I lost the treble register.

If I'm wrong, I'm prepared to be phegmatic about it.

(First time in ages, I had to log onto the forum just now - anybody else experience that?)

Do you remember that sound of a few years ago, of scout bands on Sunday Church Parade....when they were streets away, and the sound of the drums drifting in and out with the wind and street plan....??

....happening at mo' here , but I think it may be a rock bands drummer in the local church hall....

I also remember Richard 'The Shed' Harris and his super de luxe shed where he spent most of the time .... I also have some of the old R3 MBs stored on my sidebar. The Jazz Host, Pete Marsh, was a good bloke, he sent me 3 goodie bags full of lovely stuff (he did join this MB but only briefly I think) and I used to lurk on King Kenny's Japanese Knotweed Society website, brilliant graphics. I do hope he is well and continuing the anarchy somewhere.

Yes indeed, eighth - they used a hut at the end of a neighbour's garden for their get-togethers for hymns and ball games prior to parading their endlessly repeated major arpeggio, which sounded just like French military parades, as I pointed out recently on one of these threads after the election of the new Monsieur le President - can't remember which one.

I reckon the Scouts and Guides are OK - is that a reactionary position to take, I've often wondered? Cameron sees them as the salvation in high unemployment districts. A Canadian lady friend of mine ran the Hungarian Scouts in Toronto for many years, and swore by them. But never in them.

100 yards down the road, the local Pentecostal church is louder than any passing car with beatbox.
