Calum, there's a brilliant (and subtle) version of this by Johnny Griffin with a great little band; Wilbur Ware, Kenny Drew and Philly JJ on Riverside ("Way Out" c. 1958). Griffin is much misunderstood as a "racer" imho.
"Woody'n and you " was penned by Dizzy Gillespie in honour of Woody Herman for who he briefly worked. This is the most famour chart that he produced for Herman's band:-
