'Tis Autumn: The Search For Jackie Paris. The best jazz-singer documentary EVER?

The result of a film-maker - Raymond De Felitta - happening to hear 'Paris Is Blue' tune by Mingus, begins an obsessive journey to discover more about the vocalist.

The likes of which produce an unrelenting search into the life of a singer who supposedly died in 1977.

A few of you in a long-ago-year, may have heard Paris' rendition of Skylark.

Hopefully, we can open up a dialogue here in virtual space (Second Life, anyone?) about Carlo Jackie Paris.

Coincidentally, in the Paris doc, there is an extensive interview with Billy Taylor, in which he is most gracious in his surmising of why he (J.P.) ' didn't make it. '
