The Pub Over The Back Wall of The Yard

has had a cool school tenor sax quartet playing, and rather well too, all this afternoon .... sometimes life is so sweet

edit: actually it was an alto sax trio [no drums] but still exceeding good

According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

The pub looks early Georgian, Calum, maybe even Queen Anne...

Anyway, 'nuff excuse for other boredees to parade our local talent spots.

My local Sunday afternoons are sometimes spent in this place, a 10 minute walk away - depending on who's on:

Usually its a lady singer with an accompanist on keyboard or guitar. Tomorrow Georgia Mancio - quite popular around Town:

Boisdale, canary, wharf, jazz, live, london, gig, sing, quartet, geoff, todd, piano, flute, drums, whisky, restaurant, dave, ohm, live music, ranald, macdonald, singing, sexy, lady, gaga, soho, music, sax, georgia, mancio

PS - Haven't had the pleasure of bumping into 3VS.. yet...

Haven't yet seen him, GG, but as a fairly regular at the Amersham I have marked it down for attendance. It's a very strong line-up. Only a fiver, and the beers are pretty cheap - how could one go wrong?

Didn't realise Ms Namchylak was one of yours, GG!

I do it all the time on here. No one takes the blindest bit of notice , so it's probably OK

There are couple of good musician-run sessions in Glasgow.

              On Sundays: http://www.the78cafebar.com/index.html?pid=91
              On Tuesdays: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Slouch...99527503401694

Unfortunately they're a bit late for a 9 to 5 wage slave like me to get along to as often as I'd like.
