    Ear worms

Prompted by an article on the BBC magazine about "Ear worms" (catchy tunes that, once in your head, are difficult to get rid of.) Here's the one that is serious doing my head in.

    Probably ruined your Thursday!

(But the film is very good even if the "Cat bus" is a bit strange.)

now an album of Derek Bailey plays Studio Ghibli would be perfect IMV
or even Evan Parker plays Disney Classics

Here is a link to the original article that prompted the thread:-

Music has a tendency to get stuck in our heads. A tune intrudes on your thoughts and plays, and replays, in a never-ending loop. Why?

            Maybe they should be amalgamated.

"Swingin' with Totoro..." (Although I think music comes from "kiki's Delivery Service" ~ Not seen this one yet but have been very impressed by these films of what I've seen to date.)

(Extract from Ghibli jazz Vol 2) ~ and you thought all Japanese were just into Blue Note records

Jarvis played this at the start of his Sunday show this week and I can't get it out of my ear - it's that 'Vision on' link that does it.

Thanks for the Neighbour Totoro tune; one of my all time favourites films - that Cat Bus is a gas!

Forgotten about that programme. Loved it when I was a kid:-

I was in a theatre cafe in New Brighton on Easter Sunday and halfway through my cuppa the ivories were tinkled by a lady pianist of a certain age playing pleasant unchallenging melodies. One was 'April Love' - this tune has stay with me intermittently all week.
