whilst i read all the Kerouac i could lay my hands on in an indecent and breathless rush when i was fifteen i am happy to say i can not remember a blessed word of it .... this despite going to see the manuscript of On The Road at Birmingham University Gallery a couple of years back ..

me neither calum da jazbo, but am i really correct that it's a fiver in? that is fabulous news - hope it catches on, ....to include concessions for pensioners too would be smart as well.....just anyone of limited means should get a concession, (and unemployed yoof free entry).
and THAT is the reason that we need radio jazz options, EVERY week, as going out costs a fortune ....going out twice requires robbing a bank, after which saturday's 'jazz library' etc is cost effective and extra relaxing!
incidentally, did anyone hear that drum solo last night on jazzy requests? i have no idea who by mind you, as was in the attic at the time. (i wonder if i'd recognise who done it from the jrr listings)?
anywat great drumming, and despite being a bit 'gun fireish' sounded impressive coming out of my radio - whereas on my pc it'd sound like ear damage. (though i fell asleep just in time for jazz library .....as per usual).
love the way with all the r3 late progs i (try to) listen to, that a good tune comes on and i relax and fall asleep.... but stay wide awake if it's annoying, &/or crap!!

n that sleeve design is spot on too, (maybe inspired by that bloke a 3d/performance artist who early on 'liked a lot of compartments', whose name i can't remember just now...ah yes joseph beuys, bet joseph liked jazz, and is around for the right era as far as joe harriot quintet and 'straight lines' sleeve design). doncha just love 'coincidences' like that!
